International Genetically Engineered Machines

Overview: Every year, I attend the International Genetically Engineered Machines conference, usually held in Paris, France. Although the last two years have been remote due to COVID, I do plan on attending in 2022 in person. At the conference, I present my findings and updates of my project from my research in the biotechnology group (as detailed in my research page). Most recently, in the 2021 conference, I presented on my high-throughput drug screening platform.

GCS relation: Presenting at the conference on my project in engineering tools of scientific discovery allows me to build a dialogue concerning my research and the field. Talking with other researcher and experts provided more perspective that I could iterate my designs on.
